I was in Baltimore for a wedding (great city!) and we were recommended to try our hand at Thames Street Oyster House. We started with the clam cakes which I liked, but I feel like they needed a dipping sauce of some sort. My guy ordered the Rhode Island Quahog Chowder that was good, not great. He also got the crab cake sandwich which was mostly claw meat, and just okay. I was most excited for the lobster roll (the whole reason for us dining there!), and I was.... disappointed! Lobster was tender, bun was fresh, but it was grossly under seasoned and I just can't excuse that at this price point ($23). I love having my son in the kitchen with me. It gives us great one-on-one time, and he genuinely enjoys helping me. Lasagna was on the menu and he was the best helper! Nothing fancy for this meal, just noodles, ricotta filling (1 large container ricotta +1 egg, locatelli, salt and pepper, and splash of gravy/marinara/sauce or whatever you call it), gravy (I had some frozen), lots of mozzarella, and fresh basil. Bake until bubbly!
A beautiful day out calls for an afternoon with friends at Independence Beer Garden! This is a gem in the city and should not be missed during the spring/summer/early fall months. Try the sangria and fried pickles!! Yummmyyyyyy on both counts. Independence Beer Garden
